You’re based in Rio de Janeiro - are there certain things in the city that has  influenced you? What makes Rio a special place for you?

Yeah, everything, from the beaches to the culture. My parents are taiwanese and I was born in California so I try to see things as a foreigner always.

When and where are you the most creative?

To be honest, usually when I am feeling sad and down, that's when the ideas come to me.

Film or digital? Which lens do you use the most?

Film for sure, for the lens lately the 105mm.

If you could choose any era to work in which it would be?

NOW!

Who or what would be your dream subject to shoot?

Just random regular people.

Do you have a specific narrative in mind when you are shooting? How do you work around the scenography and colors?

I always try to tell some kind of story using whatever light nature gives me.
